Zebra RW420 Mobile Printers

Zebra Road Warrior Mobile Printers RW420 and RW220
Tough Printer for Rough Treatment

When people are out on the road carrying out servicing or delivery assignments, any
equipment they carry needs to be tough enough to withstand the inevitable knocks
and drops. The RW 420™ and RW 220™ are Zebra’s most rugged mobile printers. Use
the RW 420 for paper up to 4.09" (104 mm) wide, and the RW 220 for paper up to 2.2"
(56 mm) wide. Designed for the job, these printers are tested for multiple drops of 6
feet onto concrete. And, as the first mobile printers to meet the stringent IP54 dustand
water-resistance rating, the RW 420/RW 220 endure extreme temperatures and
weather conditions. They don’t come much tougher than that!

 Versatile and Convenient Connectivity Choices

With a choice of Bluetooth®, 802.11b, 802.11g, or cable connection (USB or serial),
the RW 420/RW 220 can fit into any mobile printing environment.
For people carrying the printer on a belt or strap, Bluetooth short-range wireless is
the most convenient means of connecting the printer to a mobile computer. There
are no cables to wear or get broken.

 Graphics, Signatures, and Bar Codes

Thermal printing is more versatile than impact printing when it comes to images such
as logos, signatures, and bar codes. The RW 420/RW 220 does them all with ease
and with excellent reproduction. Bar codes have a higher scan success rate when the
edges are sharp, and thermal printing undoubtedly gives the best results. Printing on
Zebra’s standard 8000D High-Temp Receipt (3.2 mil) receipt paper has a guaranteed
printed image life span of five years under appropriate storage conditions. Gone are
the days of receipts that fade or turn black on the dashboard of your vehicle.

Inspections and Servicing

Use the RW 420/RW 220 for work orders, reports, estimates, invoices, and receipts:

• Inspections and surveys: Print a copy of the completed work order, estimate,
inspection, or violation report to leave with the customer
• Servicing: Print invoices, receipts, and reports (including details of spare parts and
   further service recommendations)
• Warranty returns: Print the returns document on site and reduce
  administration time
• Asset management: Record and print an accurate equipment inventory at
  construction sites
• Quality-assurance testing: When livestock and food tests are carried out, record the
visit and leave a printed copy with the farmer or grower
